Kathryn Schwartzstein focuses her practice on personal injury, discrimination cases, commercial litigation and transactional work. She has represented numerous individuals in personal injury cases including slip and falls, auto accidents, and pedestrian accidents. She prides herself in providing individualized attention to each of her clients to help them navigate the legal process.
She has also represented business owners in the formation of their corporations, sale of their businesses or acquisition of new businesses. This type of work is enhanced by her extensive experience negotiating and drafting contracts, including technology contracts. She has worked with numerous business owners to resolve disputes through litigation, including partner disputes. She also has represented clients in construction litigation and construction contracts.
Kathryn graduated from Boston College Law School in 2004 and summa cum laude from Boston College in 1998. After law school she worked as an in-house corporate counsel for GoldenSource Corporation, an international software corporation in New York City. She then worked for the Technology Law Group of the Prudential Insurance Company of America prior to founding Smith + Schwartzstein LLC, and she has continued to work with technology companies since the early stages of her career.
She is extremely active in her local community, both in local charities and civic endeavors, and she tries to give back to individuals in need as often as possible. She is a member of the Summit City Zoning Board of Adjustment since 2018; a member of the Summit Education Fund, and a volunteer at her children’s school.
